National MS Society
While working at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Greater Illinois Chapter, I was part of the team that helped the chapter earn a four-star rating on Charity Navigator and become a leader within the 50-state network for securing funds devoted to clinical research.
My chapter-level branding initiative, under the banner of "I fight MS," generated a great deal of excitement, internally with staff and board members, as well as externally with volunteers, clients, and fundraisers. One year later, the home office unveiled a new nationwide re-branding initiative ("Join the Movement"), which we were able to almost seamlessly adopt.
As part of the "I Fight MS" campaign, I built a completely new website for the chapter in a content management system, and simultaneously integrated e-mail marketing, advocacy, program registration, and fundraising efforts. The chapter then had a single database for all contacts and a much simpler avenue for cross-departmental promotion.
I developed numerous logos for chapter programs and events, wrote and edited for chapter publications, designed brochures and annual reports, created print and online ads, and was heavily involved with advocacy projects, including issue briefs and Capitol Hill visits.
