evidence of things not seen

i can’t believe this is actually happening. let’s set aside for the time being the issue of constitutionality in (possibly?) mandating bible classes in public schools. first: when did student demand for a particular class become the criteria by which a curriculum was decided? if sufficient interest from kids is the only threshold a school needs to meet, don’t tell the childrens that. before you know it, they’ll all be wanting a semester studying silly putty. or a class examining the effects of eating ice cream. but if texas really must have religion in the classroom, i don’t think it would take much more than a subtle suggestion to the class clown before you’ve got 15 kids insisting on studying his noodley appendage.
