what’s with these guys? i don’t recall priests calling for george bush, or anyone in his adminstration, to be denied communion when he launched a “premptive” (and, as it turns out, premeditated and unjustified) war. or when hundreds of americans needlessly died because of willful neglect in response to hurricane katrina. or when it secretly became okay to torture people. or when a record number of people were being executed. if those same priests, or any others, were raising (the spectre of) hell about this stuff, too, i must have missed it.
